ultra2 Dual-assay Analyzer
The next generation dual-assay analyzer for the quantiation of HbA1c and Hb variants, the ultra2 delivers fast and accurate measurements of patient glycohemoglobin levels and aids in the comprehensive identification and quantitation of hemoglobin variants. The ultra2 is engineered to provide superior accuracy, speed, precision, results.
ultra2 A1c Assay
The A1c assay combines the speed and precision of HPLC with the accuracy of boronate affinity technology providing a precise assessment of true glycemic status in 2 minutes with CV’s of <1%. The glycohemoglobin level is unaffected by conditions that can seriously affect HbA1c levels in other methods such as sample degradation, hemoglobin variants, patient renal status or non-glucose adducts. In addition to the total glycohemoglobin result, HbA1c levels (certified as traceable to the DCCT/NGSP & IFCC reference methods) and estimated mean blood glucose levels are available on each patient. Automated sample handling, bar-code reading, simple, menu-driven Windows XP software, on-line sample prep from primary tube and LIS interface are some of the features of the ultra2.
ultra2 Hb Variant Assay
The ultra2 Resolution platform offers breakthrough technology for the detection of hemoglobin variants. Featuring the fastest available (4 minute) Hb Screen with A2 and F quantitation, this system is the only system on the market to automatically reflex from Quick Scan to a 10-minute High Resolution program for further Hb variant characterization and quantitation. Unequaled quality of peak separation utilizing HPLC technology, plus periodically updated computer aids to assist in accurate interpretation of results. Additional features include the option to use automated sample prep from the primary whole blood tube or manual hemolysates or blood spots, plus on-line bar-code reading, simple menu-driven software, and LIS interface.
ultra2 Hb Variant Assay for Newborn Screening
The ultra2 Resolution platform has a new HPLC assay for the detection of hemoglobin variants in newborns. It will identify F, A and clinically significant variants S, C, D, E, O and Bart’s and many more. This system features a 2 minute Hb Screen with an automatic transition to a confirmatory method for samples with Hb variants without user intervention.
